First edition of this award winning illustrated fantasy work created by Norton Juster and Jules Feiffer.
First printing in the correct first issue jacket with the photo of Juster and the biographies of the author and illustrator. The book is very good with some dust to the top edge and a faint ink stain to the copyright page. The pages are in superb condition after that and this copy is firm, square and tight. The boards are in excellent condition and the cover and spine embossing are bright and vivid. The jacket has done its job protecting the book but paid the price. It has several small chips and some paper loss, staining to the interior spine as well as back panel. The front panel has fared better and the spine is decent. Overall a presentable, affordable copy of a scarce first edition.
